Setting Up Your Free SSL/TLS Certificate

Last Updated: December 7, 2025

The Importance of SSL/TLS SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and its successor, TLS (Transport Layer Security), encrypt the data exchanged between your website and your visitors’ browsers. This is essential for: Trust: Browsers mark sites without SSL as “Not Secure.” SEO: Google uses HTTPS as a ranking signal. Security: Protecting sensitive information (passwords, payment details). Automated SSL Installation (Recommended) For most users, CyberWAF automatically provisions and installs a trusted SSL certificate (e.g., Let’s Encrypt or similar) as soon as your domain points to our nameservers. Verification: Wait for DNS propagation (4-24 hours). Check Status: Log into cPanel and check the “SSL/TLS Status” tool to ensure your certificate is active and auto-renewing. Forcing HTTPS: If your site still shows HTTP, you may need to install a simple plugin (for CMS users like WordPress) or update your application settings to force all traffic to HTTPS. Installing a Custom SSL Certificate If you purchased a certificate from a third-party vendor (e.g., DigiCert, Sectigo), you can install it manually: Obtain Files: Get the Certificate (.crt) and Private Key (.key) files from your vendor. Use SSL/TLS Manager: In cPanel, navigate to the “SSL/TLS” manager. Upload & Install: Use the tool to upload your key and certificate...

Understanding NVMe SSD Storage & Performance Boost

Last Updated: December 7, 2025

The Speed Difference: NVMe vs. Traditional SSDs Traditional Solid State Drives (SSDs) were a major upgrade from hard disk drives (HDDs). However, NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) is a protocol that allows storage to communicate directly with the CPU via the PCIe bus. Benefit: This drastically reduces latency and boosts read/write speeds by up to 3x faster than traditional SSDs. Result for You: Faster database queries, quicker file access for your application (WordPress, eCommerce), and overall blazing page load times. Optimizing Your Application for NVMe Speed The high performance of NVMe benefits all applications, but you can maximize the boost by: Database Optimization: Regularly clean and optimize your databases (tools available in cPanel). Caching: Ensure you are using a modern caching solution (e.g., LiteSpeed Cache) to minimize repeated database calls. Disk Space and Resource Reliability All CyberWAF plans include Unlimited NVMe SSD Disk Space. This means you never have to worry about running out of storage for your files, backups, or databases, allowing you to focus purely on content and growth.

Monitoring Your Resource Usage (CPU & RAM)

Last Updated: December 7, 2025

Why Monitoring Resources is Important While CyberWAF provides generous dedicated resources, monitoring usage is crucial for maintaining optimal website speed and stability. High usage is often an early indicator of: Inefficient application code (e.g., poorly coded plugin). A traffic spike or successful marketing campaign. A suspected but minor bot/scraping attack that hasn’t been fully mitigated. Locating the Resource Usage Tool in cPanel Access cPanel: Log into your CyberWAF Client Area and navigate to cPanel (as detailed in Article 1). Find Metrics: On the cPanel dashboard, look for the section labeled “Metrics” or “Resource Usage.” View Limits and Usage: This tool displays your current dedicated allocation (e.g., 8 Cores CPU, 16GB RAM) and the percentage currently being consumed by your applications. What to Do If Usage is Too High If you consistently see usage near or above 80% of your dedicated allocation: Optimize: Check your website’s back-end (plugins, theme) for unnecessary or resource-heavy components. Contact Support: Our team can help analyze the usage spikes to determine the root cause (malicious traffic vs. application inefficiency). Upgrade: If your growth is consistent and legitimate, it may be time to seamlessly upgrade your plan for higher dedicated resources.
